The Tenet T4 crossover, which began production at the AGR plant in Kaluga in August last year, has been discontinued. This was officially confirmed by the press service of the domestic brand, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on July 30.

The company explained the decision to discontinue production of the Tenet T4 as the end of the model's life cycle. They pointed out that during the study of consumer preferences, there was an increased demand for an affordable family crossover with a spacious interior, modern safety and comfort options, so the T4 was replaced by the larger T4L model.

The Tenet T4 crossover is a localized Russian equivalent of the Chery Tiggo 4. Cars built in 2026, according to the current price list, are estimated at 2.17 - 2.66 million rubles, excluding discounts. In the basic version, it is equipped with an atmospheric 1.5-liter 113-horsepower engine with a manual transmission. For an additional fee, the motor can be combined with a CVT. In more expensive trim levels, the crossover has a 147-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo engine with a robotic gearbox, and the drive can be either front-wheel drive or full-wheel drive.

At the same time, the Tenet T4L is already an analog of the Chery Tiggo seventh series. It went on sale in May of this year and is offered only with front-wheel drive and an alternative combination of a 1.5-liter turbo engine (147 hp) and a "robot" at a price of 2.26 million to 2.43 million rubles.

The day before, it was reported that the crossovers of the Chinese company Rox Motor, produced at the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant, will appear at Russian dealers in September. Acceptance of orders will begin on August 3, and the symbolic launch of local production will take place on July 30 in Moscow.
