Circumstances of the disappearance
Natalia Bozhuk, 39, disappeared on July 17 after going for a walk with her spaniel named Luna from the Romashkovo residential complex in Odintsovo district. That day, there was an argument between her and her roommate, 44-year-old businessman Pavel K., after which the woman left the house with the dog and did not get in touch again.
Natalia recently moved to Romashkovo residential complex — about two or three weeks before the tragedy. Neighbors describe her as a "pleasant, sweet girl" who was "always smiling." She was often seen walking her dog. In the early summer of 2026, Natalia graduated from the Ostankino TV school. Before that, she worked in the beauty industry as a stylist and image psychologist, and in the past participated in castings for the Miss Russia pageant.
Body detection
A few days after the disappearance, on July 22, bystanders found a frightened spaniel in an outbuilding on the outskirts of a residential area in the village of Romashkovo and posted photos in local chats, where their loved ones stumbled upon them. Not far from this place, Natalia's body was found in a bag left in the middle of a field.
According to the investigation, the woman was killed on July 17 or 18, on the day of her disappearance or the next day. Judging by the condition of the body, she died on the day of the disappearance. The dog stayed near the scene of the tragedy for almost two weeks.
The suspect
According to the investigation, the deceased's roommate, Pavel K., a 44—year-old businessman from Moscow, a native of Tashkent, is suspected of murder. The man worked in the financial sector, is the founder of several trading companies, almost all of his firms operate at a loss. He is dependent on two minor children — a five-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old son.
The couple met about six months ago, Natalia met him after she posted a post on social media about finding a new man. According to the investigation, the cause of the quarrel was jealousy. According to sources, the suspect left Russia immediately after the disappearance of the woman and fled to Turkey. He is on the international wanted list.
The reaction of law enforcement agencies
Upon the murder, the investigative department for the city of Odintsovo of the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder"). Forensic medical and molecular genetic examinations have been appointed. The investigation was taken over by the Odintsovo City Prosecutor's Office.
Investigators are working out all versions of what happened, all the circumstances and persons involved in the murder are being established. The relatives of the deceased refuse to comment.
