Night attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Wildberries depots. What is known

On the night of July 30, drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the logistics centers of Wildberries in the Penza region and Udmurtia. As a result of the strikes, fires broke out at the facilities, and one person was injured. Criminal cases have been initiated. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

The circumstances of the incident

Two marketplace objects were attacked. According to the governor of the Penza region Oleg Melnichenko, a fire started in a warehouse in the region, as a result of which one person was injured. Fire brigades, Emergency Situations Ministry forces, law enforcement agencies and ambulances were sent to the scene. Penza Mayor Oleg Denisov, in turn, said that smoke at the Wildberries warehouse could reach the city and urged local residents to spend less time outdoors and close their windows.

In Sarapul, there was also a fire at a logistics facility due to a drone attack. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties in this area. Due to the air raid warning, the warehouse staff was evacuated in a timely manner. Fire departments were involved in extinguishing the fire.

Wildberries Position

The company's press service confirmed the fact of a fire in Sarapul and the Penza region, noting that emergency services are working at the site. Due to the incidents, the company's logistics chains were quickly rebuilt. The acceptance of new supplies has been postponed to other Wildberries facilities. Earlier, similar measures were taken in Ryazan, where, after the evacuation of the logistics center, the warehouse temporarily stopped accepting goods, and already stored products were withdrawn from sale.

The reaction of the authorities

The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened criminal cases of terrorist attacks on Ukrainian attacks on logistics centers in the Penza region and Udmurtia. The report on the investigation will be presented personally to the head of the department, Alexander Bastrykin. Law enforcement officers are working at the scene of the incidents.

On July 29, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Alexander Maslennikov called the attacks by the Ukrainian army on Wildberries warehouses terrorism and a war crime. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in turn, said that the Russian government is aware of and is monitoring the issue of Wildberries assistance after drone attacks. The company has paid more than 40 million rubles to victims of attacks on logistics facilities.
