In Russia, from September 1, the rules of work and rest for drivers will change

Starting from September 1, 2026, new rules governing the work and rest regime of car drivers will come into force in Russia. This was reported by RIA Novosti on July 30, citing an order from the Ministry of Transport.

According to the document, the maximum working time for drivers will still be 40 hours per week. However, if it is impossible to comply with the weekly norm, it is allowed to keep working hours for a month, and in coordination with the trade union organization — for a period of up to three months.
