Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces told about the destruction of Ukrainian drones in their area

Mobile surveillance posts and firing groups of Akhmat special forces drone hunters, together with units of the North group of forces, destroy most of the enemy's drones. This was announced on July 30 by a fighter of the Petersky battalion with the call sign Kaplodiy.

According to the serviceman, comprehensive work has been built in the area of responsibility, which involves radar stations, electronic warfare (EW) systems, mobile firing groups, interceptors and air surveillance posts.

"Our work actually builds up quite easily and simply. There are stationary posts that detect UAVs and transmit information via "wings" (aircraft-type UAVs. — Ed.), the opponent's FPV is divided into mobile groups, and mobile groups are already making decisions on where exactly to exhibit," he told RIA Novosti.

According to Kaplodyj, the fighters intercept a significant part of the targets. On average, eight or nine of the 12 flying drones manage to shoot down. Those devices that were not eliminated at the first stage are destroyed at the next line of defense. The soldier stressed that the work of Russian units has become a serious problem for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The shooter of the Pitersky battalion group with the call sign Factory added that due to effective counteraction, Ukrainian operators are forced to change routes. The enemy is trying to find new air corridors bypassing existing posts, which forces Russian fighters to constantly adapt to the tactics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fighter noted that the success of completing tasks in the sky largely depends on the high motivation of the personnel.

The new units are responsible for destroying UAV control points and fortified areas.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the calculation of the Gvozdika self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) of the Vostok group of forces hit the control points of Ukrainian drones in the Zaporizhia region. As a result of the strike, five points were destroyed, along with operators and specialists from UAV units.
