Ships of the Russian Navy and the Indonesian Navy have completed the naval stage of the joint exercise Orruda-2026 in the Sea of Japan. This was announced on July 30 by the press service of the Pacific Fleet.
During the task development, the crews of the ships conducted maneuvering and communication training using various types of signaling.
The Russian corvette "Perfect" participated in the exercise, and the frigate "Gusti Ngurah Rai" participated on the Indonesian side. The crews of the two countries practiced cooperation during the inspection of suspicious vessels, the blocking and release of a conditionally seized vessel by the forces of the ships' anti-terrorist units.
The military also conducted training on countering unmanned boats and unmanned aerial vehicles. During the training, firing from automatic artillery installations and small arms was carried out, as well as tasks for the search, rescue and evacuation of victims on the water using deck helicopters.
At the final stage, the crews repelled simulated air attacks and completed the tasks of detecting targets and using shipboard air defense systems. After completing the exercise, the Russian corvette and the Indonesian frigate parted ways, exchanging flag signals with wishes for a happy voyage.
On July 26, celebrations in honor of Navy Day were held at all Russian fleet bases. In Vladivostok, the holiday coincided with the start of the international exercises Orruda-2026. According to Izvestia correspondent Yevgeny Podtergera, the flagship of the Indonesian navy moored to the pier to participate in them.
