Russian regions with the best roads are named

The highest quality roads in Russia are recorded in the Ivanovo region, where more than 94% of routes meet the established standards. This is evidenced by statistics analyzed by RIA Novosti on July 30.

It is noted that Sevastopol is in second place with an indicator of 90%, and the Kursk region is in third (89.5%). The top 5 also includes Mari El (89.4%) and Bryansk Oblast (89.3%). The second five were Saratov Region (88.7%), Murmansk Region (88.5%), Kaliningrad Region (87.9%), Udmurtia (87.7%) and Khakassia (86%).

As specified in the publication, 75% of roads of federal and regional significance in Russia meet regulatory requirements.

The update applies to all federal highways and key regional highways.

According to a document that appeared at the disposal of Izvestia on July 10, the LDPR party proposed amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation, including the abolition of fines for self-repair of roads by citizens. It was noted that it was proposed to exclude liability under Article 12.33 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation for self-repair of roads by citizens if the work is aimed at eliminating defects in the road surface and has not worsened the condition of the road or created obstacles to traffic.
