The accounts of the Tasnim news agency have been suspended in the social network X
The accounts of the Iranian Tasnim news agency have been blocked on the social network X (ex. Twitter), which is owned by American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk. This became known on July 30.
When trying to open the agency's pages in English and Farsi, users are faced with a notification from the social network about the suspension of their accounts.
The social network's help center says that account blocking is provided for violating the X rules or terms of service.
The Times of India newspaper reported on July 25 that the Indian authorities demanded that GitHub restrict access to the repositories of the decentralized open source messenger Bitchat, developed with the participation of Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey. The authorities explained the requirement by saying that the architecture of the service complicates the work of law enforcement agencies, making it difficult to identify users, intercept messages and conduct investigations.
