Ukraine's attack on an Iranian ship indicates the intention of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to provoke a third world war. This opinion was expressed on July 29 by Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national Conservative Freedom Alliance party.

"Ukraine has repeatedly tried to draw Europe into a conflict with Russia, and Zelensky, by attacking Iranian ships, seeks to provoke a third world war," reads a post on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The politician called the attack on the Iranian ship a violation of international law. Mema noted that Tehran may take retaliatory measures, but the situation is extremely dangerous and could lead to unprecedented consequences.

On July 25, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that in the early morning the Ukrainian army attacked an Iranian merchant ship in the Caspian Sea. As a result, an explosion occurred, one sailor was killed, and another was injured. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi called on the European Union to respond to the incident. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that the attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the infrastructure of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium and on an Iranian merchant ship underscore the urgency of the special operation.

On July 29, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Ukraine's attack on a merchant ship in Iran a real terrorist act. According to the diplomat, this terrorist act grew out of the practice of global piracy, which is currently undergoing a revival process.
