- The commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine forced 83 soldiers to build his house in the Odessa region
For several months, the commander of one of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) forced 83 of his subordinates to build his private house in the Odessa region, distracting from their direct duties. This was announced on July 29 in the press service of the office of the Prosecutor General of the country.
"83 military personnel who carried out construction work were found at the facility. The investigation also documented the use of military cargo transport for the delivery of construction materials. The collected evidence testifies to the systemic nature of such actions," the publication says in the Telegram channel.
It is noted that the attacker not only distracted soldiers from service, but also had a direct negative impact on the combat readiness of the entire unit. He was detained on suspicion of an offense under Part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Abuse of power or official authority by a military official").
On June 27, Lesya Ganzha, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that the "spirit of slavery" flourishes in Ukrainian units, in which her colleagues are assigned two roles: prisoners and their guards. The former, according to her, are almost disenfranchised, while the latter turn a blind eye to the manifestations of sadism and tyranny on the part of the military.
