A spaniel dog helped discover the body of its 39-year-old owner, who disappeared two weeks ago in the Odintsovo city district of the Moscow region, Izvestia found out on July 29.
The Russian woman disappeared on July 17, after she went for a walk with her pet from the territory of the Romashkovo residential complex. A statement about the incident was submitted to the police by the woman's relatives. After a while, the volunteers managed to find her frightened dog sitting in a wooded area near one of the sheds. This discovery led them to a field where they had already found a bag with the body of the missing woman hidden in it.
The source of Izvestia clarified that on the day of the tragedy, the deceased was with her roommate. A criminal case has been opened in the region by the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.
"A criminal case has been opened on the murder of a 39-year-old local resident (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)... The investigation and establishment of all the circumstances and the person involved in the murder continues," the agency said in a publication on the Maks messenger.
The course of investigative measures, as added in the channel of the prosecutor's office for the Moscow region in "Max", was monitored by employees of the Odintsovo city Prosecutor's office.
On July 25, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported the detention of a resident of the Omsk region, who brutally murdered his roommate and a taxi driver. It was noted that the 29-year-old man committed the first murder in a rented apartment, where he stabbed his 42—year-old lover, and the second a few days later in the cabin of the car he had called.
