A court in Baku has sentenced four people to prison in the case of a march with USSR flags.

In Baku, four men who staged a march with the flag of the Soviet Union were sentenced to 1.5 to 2 years in prison. This was reported by the Azeri-Press Agency (APA) on July 29.

"According to the verdict, Ibrahim Asadli was sentenced to 2 years in prison, Abdullah Ibrahimli to 2 years, Elchin Bayramli to 1.5 years, and Mehman Zeynalov to 1.5 years," the Telegram channel said.

A photograph of the accused was attached to the material. On it, they stand next to the panels.

According to Sputnik Azerbaijan, the defendants organized a group that allegedly tried to "propagandize communist ideology": for this purpose, they rented an office where meetings were held. The young men were detained back in November 2025 in one of Baku's parks.
