- Zelensky arrived in Poland for the first time after the escalation of relations over the UPA
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, returning from the United States, landed in Lublin to secretly meet with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. RMF 24 radio station learned about this on July 29.
"Zelensky will land in Lublin. He will meet with Tusk," the article says. Later, the Ukrainian edition of "Country.ua" has confirmed that Zelensky has already arrived in Poland.
Initially, the relevant information was received from reporter Krzysztof Zasada, but later it was confirmed in the office of the Polish Prime Minister. Details about the time and specific place of the meeting have not yet been provided.
On July 8, Zelensky managed to have an unscheduled conversation with Polish President Karol Nawrocki, who initially did not plan to meet with him. The conversation took place within the framework of the NATO summit in Ankara.
Relations between Warsaw and Kiev escalated after the Ukrainian side planned to create a "pantheon of heroes" of the UPA (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). This desire made Zelensky, according to Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm Krzysztof Bosak, an unwelcome guest in the republic.
