The resignation of the government in Ukraine has caused another crisis of power, former allies or members of the team of President Vladimir Zelensky have again found themselves in opposition to the head of state. Against this background, the question of why the positions of the head of the parliamentary faction "Servant of the People" David Arahamia are so unchanged is becoming more and more interesting. Apparently, he rendered many valuable services to top Ukrainian politicians and even tied them up with compromising material. An analysis of open data, correspondence, and social media profiles allows you to link Arachamia to an account through which ads were posted about finding partners for group sex. Who is David Arahamiya?
David Arakhamiya is considered one of the most influential politicians in Ukraine. He was born in Sochi, spent his childhood in Abkhazia, left the region in 1992 and eventually moved to Mykolaiv. Arahamia graduated from the European University in Ukraine, and also completed a professional management program at the British Open University.
He had Georgian citizenship. He received Ukrainian citizenship in 2015, after the outbreak of the conflict in Donbass.
Before joining big-time politics, Arahamia was involved in the IT business. In the 2000s, he participated in the creation of Artvertex Inc in the USA and developed the TemplateMonster project, a marketplace for web templates. He was known in the business community under the pseudonym David Brown. In 2013, Arahamia sold TemplateMonster to an American investment fund for $100 million. It was precisely because of his ties to the United States that he was often called an American agent of influence.
In the 2010s, Arahamiya participated in the creation of other IT projects in Ukraine and was engaged in volunteer activities. In particular, he launched the People's Project initiative (the Piety Foundation, a legal entity). During the so-called anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Donbass, Arakhamiya, among others, helped the 79th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which in Russia is accused of war crimes, including shelling residential buildings.
Under President Petro Poroshenko (included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of extremists and terrorists), Arakhamia headed the Council of Volunteers at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, held the positions of Commissioner for Procurement and adviser to the Minister. In 2015, Arahamia's name was mentioned in connection with a criminal case initiated by the Main Military Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine. It was about the purchase of fuel for the needs of the Ministry of Defense at inflated prices, the damage to the state was estimated at UAH 105 million. According to the average annual exchange rate at that time, it was almost $6 million. It was reported that employees of the ministry helped a certain company win tenders, reported to the head of the Volunteer Council (that is, Arahamia) and received remuneration from the funds of the Piety Foundation. He was never charged.
After Vladimir Zelensky's victory in the presidential election, Arakhamiya retained his influence in Ukraine. He was first appointed to the supervisory board of the Ukroboronprom state concern, and then he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada on the list of the Servant of the People party. As a result, Arakhamia became the head of the faction, becoming one of the key political coordinators of Zelensky's team.
After the start of the special military operation in February 2022, Arahamia led the Ukrainian delegation to negotiations with Russia in Belarus and Turkey.
The not-so-secret life of Arahamia
Like many representatives of the Ukrainian political elite, Arakhamiya was accompanied by various scandals throughout his career — he was accused of lobbying, corruption and smuggling. However, this material does not relate to the political activities of the head of the faction, but to another aspect of his life, which he preferred not to expand on. Thus, digital traces have been discovered that link Arachamia with closed communities of group sex lovers. The attention of the Izvestia authors was attracted by the D B user profile, through which announcements were published about the search for partners for meetings in the MFM format and swing parties (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
Several matches allowed us to identify the account owner at once. Firstly, the user is registered under the pseudonym D B. Presumably, this is an abbreviation for David Brown, which Arahamia used while working in the IT business. Users of the Sales Hero channel, dedicated to sales and IT, contact the owner of the D B account, calling him David Brown and mentioning David's work in the rada. Secondly, the phone number listed in the profile matched the number of the politician published in open sources. So, in one of the ads of the user D B, posted even before his release, he and his partner were looking for a "sporty guy" to meet together in Odessa.
The account's activity was not limited to this. Later, the authors found the user's posts in other communities dedicated to kinky culture, that is, practices that go beyond ordinary sex. He, in particular, made his mark on the Cherry Twins Telegram channel. There is a space of the same name in Kiev, which positions itself as the first "Ukrainian lovespace". The institution has themed rooms for role-playing scenarios, including an "interrogation room" and a "torture room." The founder of lovespace, Elena Solovyova, once admitted that the space was visited by very famous people, but she did not name names.
In the Cherry Twins group chat, Arahamia not only participated in discussions, but also shared recommendations for foreign locations, including the Desire Hotel in Mexico, where "you can have sex anywhere," and the Cap d'Agde nudist resort in France.
This is not an isolated case
The authors of the investigation found accounts of other people associated with the military and near-war environment in similar communities. For example, Roman Horbach, head of the Main Personnel Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is a member of groups of lovers of non-traditional sex (for example, Swing Photo Club). He also appears to regularly use the services of call girls.
Daria Krutogolova, a lawyer specializing in military law, was found among the participants of similar groups. She positions herself as a proponent of BDSM in a dominant role, leading a dedicated shibari (bondage. — Ed.) a channel where at the same time he conducts training camps in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In general, posts in support of Ukrainian servicemen are regularly published in such online communities. So, a user of the Kinky Events UA channel under the nickname Lustful Dad urged subscribers to donate funds for the purchase of weapons and drones for the Ukrainian army.
The support of the Ukrainian army by representatives of the adult industry has repeatedly been the subject of publications by foreign media. So, Politico talked about the Ukrainian pornographic actress Yulia Senyuk (known under the pseudonym Josephine Jackson), who raised funds to help Ukrainian servicemen who were left without limbs. Back in 2022, Business Insider reported that the authors of content on a platform similar to OnlyFans transferred proceeds from the sale of explicit photos to the needs of the Armed Forces.
Digital biography
There is no direct evidence that the participation of David Arahamia or his other "colleagues in the shop" in such communities influenced their political careers or professional activities. At the same time, the published materials allow us to conclude that a significant part of the digital footprints of the heroes of this article have been in the public domain for a long time. The same Arakhamiya did not make serious attempts to hide this side of his life, despite the fact that he holds one of the key positions in the Ukrainian government.
Such stories in the political environment of the post-Soviet state, if they become public, rarely lead to noticeable personnel consequences. After a high-profile sex scandal with People's deputy from the "Servant of the People" Bogdan Yaremenko, he was stripped of his post as head of the committee on Foreign Policy and interparliamentary cooperation. However, he retained his mandate. The scandal broke out after journalists photographed Yaremenko's phone screen at a rada meeting, where there was a correspondence with a girl in which the conditions of a paid sexual encounter were discussed: duration, cost and acceptable practices. Arahamia, as the head of the faction, then urged not to exaggerate this story, but acknowledged that he should be held accountable. Arahamia also noted that he, as a father of six children, is ashamed to comment on this situation.
Apparently, the problem of private correspondence of this nature was so concerned about the deputies of the rada that in mid-July, a bill was passed in the first reading that decriminalizes the transmission of pornographic materials between adults.
Often, such scandals become part of the internal political struggle between different groups of influence, as happened in the summer of 2026 after the statements of Maria Tikhaya, a participant in the Battle of Psychics TV project. She talked about a BDSM episode involving a high-ranking official. Subsequently, there were rumors that it could be former Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov.
It is possible that the lack of a harsh reaction to sex scandals is part of political communication within the system. Online and offline communities associated with kinky culture bring people together not only for private communication. Conditions are being created there for establishing informal ties between representatives of business, political circles, and law enforcement agencies. This nuance could explain why David Arahamia, who worked in Poroshenko's team, took a high position in Zelensky's entourage. Perhaps it was his participation in sex communities that helped him expand his circle of acquaintances and gain new levers of influence.
