Russia's Biggest Serial Family Returns

The SUN TV channel, together with the online cinemas START and Okko, present the second season of the family comedy "Parents of Parents" - stories about a large family where everyone is sure that they know how to live properly, raise children and give advice. The new season will premiere in September.

The new season will bring your favorite characters back together under one roof. Timofey (Alexander Samoylenko Jr.) and Polina (Anastasia Krylova) will go on a long business trip to China — and Sasha (Alexander Samoylenko) and Masha (Maria Poroshina) will have to remember what it's like to raise children anew. Max (Artyom Bashenin) and Lera (Angelina Poplavskaya) will close the coffee shop for a new, much more adventurous business. And Ilya (Nikita Mitasov) and Sonya (Alina Dulova), who have recently become parents, will try to combine modern approaches to parenting with the experience of the older generation. Olga Volkova will also appear in the cast as grandma.

The hardest part, as always, is on Sasha and Masha. Each episode is a new mission. They were sure that their children had grown up long ago. It turned out that parenthood just changed its form. They will have to: organize a car trip with the whole family, arrange a birthday party in the style of "princesses" for Lisa, survive a visit from noisy biker relatives, and relearn diapers by helping Ilya and Sonya with little Dan (Lev Kirichkov). And most importantly, finding a common language with their teenage grandchildren has become their reality again. They grumble as usual, but they do it.

The main thing is that, as always, there are many situations in the series in which viewers easily recognize themselves, their parents, children, and grandparents. This is really a popular project in which the characters are loved because, after looking at them, you can always tell your family: "It's the same at home! And you do it all the time too!" By the way, national love is also confirmed by the numbers: more than 75 million people watched the first season.

"Parents of Parents" is a family comedy in which there are no perfect characters. Here, grandparents try to understand modern children, young parents learn to cope with the first difficulties, and adult sons suddenly become children again next to their parents. From these everyday situations, stories are born that are both funny and touching.

The second season was directed by Alexander Zhigalkin, the author of the family projects "Old School", "Daddy's Daughters", "Olive, Igor and Rex" and "Parents of Parents".

In the continuation of the project, the viewer will see their favorite characters from the extended Sokolov family again. Where they argue over parenting, make up after quarrels, interfere in each other's lives, sometimes get tired of each other, but all this is just from great love. It seems to us that today it is especially close to the audience — in these stories it is impossible not to recognize your parents, children, grandmothers or yourself," says Alexander Zhigalkin.
