More than 4 thousand people will stand up to protect Transbaikalia from floods

More than 4,000 specialists have been trained in Transbaikalia, ready to respond to emergencies related to floods. This information will be announced by the first deputy head of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Anton Markelov.

The grouping of forces and assets also includes over 1,2 thousand units of equipment, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

As Markelov emphasized, the region is fully prepared for possible floods.

Earlier, the authorities of Transbaikalia announced that they expected a third wave of floods in August. According to forecasters, 1.5–2 times more precipitation will fall in the territory of the region than the monthly norm.
