Romania reported receiving bomb claims from the numbers of Poland and Ukraine

Bomb threats in the port of Constanta were received from Ukrainian and Polish numbers. This was announced on July 29 by Acting Romanian Defense Minister Radu Miruta.

On the same day, access to one of the locks was restricted in the port after the threat of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles appeared. It is noted that threatening messages were received on the mobile phones of employees of the Romanian Coast Guard.

"A bomb was reported from two phone numbers outside Romania. One number has a Ukrainian prefix, and the other has a Polish prefix. An investigation is underway into these numbers," Mirutse said on the Digi24 TV channel.

According to the minister, an audio message in Romanian was sent from these numbers, however, experts believe that it was generated using artificial intelligence. He added that all necessary checks are being carried out.

Mirutse added that the port was not closed, and people were evacuated from some buildings.

Against this background, on July 7, Mirutse appealed to Kiev to provide its drones with the ability to self-destruct if they accidentally enter the territorial waters of Romania for any reason.
