One person was killed in an accident with heavy trucks in Primorye.

In Primorsky Krai, on 481 km of the A-370 Ussuri highway between Khabarovsk and Vladivostok, two Volvo FN heavy trucks collided, as a result of the accident, one person was killed and two more were injured. This was announced on July 29 by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Primorye.

"As a result of the accident, the 48‑year—old driver of one of the vehicles died from his injuries at the scene," the publication says in the Maks messenger.

It is noted that the 60‑year‑old driver and the 45-year-old passenger of the second truck were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. According to preliminary data, after the impact, one of the trucks moving from Khabarovsk in the direction of Vladivostok overturned.

Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, ambulance crews and the investigative team of the police department are working at the scene, the text of the publication says. At the moment, an inspection has been organized, during which all the circumstances of the incident are being established.

On July 28, Izvestia was informed by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry that 344 road accidents had occurred on Russian roads over the past day, in which 40 people were killed and 414 injured. It was noted that as a result of 61 accidents involving pedestrians, four people were killed, and 57 more were injured in various degrees of severity.
