Two minors convicted of arson on railway in Primorye

In Primorsky Krai, a court sentenced two minors found guilty of committing a terrorist act at a railway facility. This was reported on July 29 in the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"The evidence collected by the investigative authorities was found by the court to be sufficient to convict minors in Primorsky Krai," the publication says in the Maks messenger.

According to the investigation and the court, in May 2025, a 16-year-old teenager received an offer via messenger for a monetary reward to commit a terrorist attack on a railway facility. After agreeing, he involved his 15-year-old acquaintance in the crime.

The teenagers arrived at the section of railway track between Ruzhino and Lesozavodsk – 2 stations of the Far Eastern Railway and set fire to relay and battery cabinets. They recorded what was happening on a mobile phone camera and passed the video to the supervisor.

The court sentenced one of the defendants to seven years in prison, and the other to six years and six months in an educational colony.

On July 9, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported the arrest of a 15-year-old schoolboy who, in cooperation with agents of the Ukrainian special services, set fire to railway equipment on the route of the Podvoloshnaya – Pervouralsk stations. The student was arrested immediately after he committed arson.
