Rosstandart has approved a new GOST for glazed cheese curds. This follows from the order published on the agency's website.

"This standard applies to glazed cheese curds packaged in consumer packaging, intended for direct consumption," the document says.

According to GOST, the surface of the product should be evenly coated with glaze, which should not stick to the packaging material. For frozen cheese after defrosting, it is allowed to have drops of moisture on the surface of the glaze.

The mass fraction of fat in the product should be from 5% to 26%. Candied fruits, vanilla, raisins, nuts and other ingredients may be added. GOST will become effective on January 1, 2028.

On July 11, Rosstandart approved new and updated GOST standards aimed at improving the quality and safety of dairy products. The new standards establish uniform requirements for quality, safety, raw materials used, packaging, labeling, transportation and storage of products.
