The bus driver who flew into a tree in the south of Moscow did not help passengers

The driver of the bus that crashed into a tree in Moscow's Nagatino-Sadovniki district did not assist passengers in any way after the incident. People got out of the salon on their own, helping each other. Tamara, who was injured in an accident, told Izvestia about this on July 28.

When the bus started hitting bumps and curbs, the woman became agitated and decided to get off at the nearest stop. But the accident could not be avoided — before reaching the drop-off point, the driver flew onto the curb and crashed into a tree.

"The windshield is all in pieces. There were children lying on the floor, a three-month-old child and another small, two-year-old, probably. One fell out of the stroller, and the other fell from the seat directly to the floor," Tamara explained, suggesting that the bus driver might have fallen asleep.

The woman herself was riding in the front seat and landed on the passenger, who cushioned the fall. Tamara was diagnosed with a fractured finger, a bruised knee and rib injuries. Due to her injuries, the woman had to undergo a planned operation.

"The driver wasn't hurt at all, at all. <...> After the accident, he was just talking on the phone, walking around there," the victim added.

The accident occurred on the morning of July 28 on Akademika Millionshchikova Street. A source told Izvestia that 17 people were injured in the incident, including two infants. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
