In Transbaikalia, the Krasnokamensk City Court ruled in the case of the death of a worker at the Urtuisk mine. The person responsible for labor protection was found guilty.

The incident occurred in February 2026. It was established that the deceased was on the site without any industrial necessity. He wasn't wearing a mask. A man fell down the stairs of a dump truck under repair and received fatal injuries.

The defendant fully admitted his guilt. The court took into account the state of his health and the health of his relatives, his positive characteristics and the rank of "Veteran of Labor of the Russian Federation." In addition, the court drew attention to the fact that the deceased's behavior was unlawful.

He was fined 80 thousand rubles. 400 thousand rubles were recovered from the enterprise in favor of the deceased's sister as compensation for moral damage, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

The tragedy occurred on the night of July 15th.
