The old ski base in Nikolaevsk will be turned into a sports complex

In Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Territory, a modern sports complex will be built from an abandoned ski base. Major repairs have been completed on it.

The facility was inspected by Governor Dmitry Demeshin. Work is currently underway to set up lighting for the ski slopes.

The local business helps in this. 36 supports are installed. The lighting will appear for 1 km. The video surveillance system is being equipped at the expense of the local budget. Funds will also be allocated from the city treasury for landscaping.

According to IA AmurMedia, the ski base has been operating for about 50 years. In Nikolaevsk, this is the only place where you can ski. It hosts national and regional competitions, including the Russian Ski Track race.

Major repairs were carried out at the base within the framework of the regional program "Development of physical education and sports in the Khabarovsk Territory". Engineering communications, roof, windows and doors were changed in the building, redevelopment was carried out, separate changing rooms for children and adults were formed. The facade of the building has been updated. Funds for the purchase of new inventory, equipment and furniture were allocated from the district budget.

In the future, it is planned to develop a ski school, equip the Upper and Lower ski slopes, as well as cable cars. This is necessary for organizing the initial training of young skiers, and then sending them to the professional slopes in Mnogovershinny.

Earlier it was reported that 237 thousand square meters of housing were built in the Khabarovsk Territory in the first half of 2026. According to preliminary data, the plan was fulfilled by 45.6%. The work is carried out within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". Most of the commissioned areas were for individual housing construction (124 thousand square meters). 113 thousand square meters were commissioned in apartment buildings.
