The developers of the Russian electric car Atom have checked the power reserve without recharging

The engineers of the Kama company, which developed the Atom electric car, checked the maximum power reserve it can show on a single charge. At the end of the trip, the mileage was 597 km, which is almost 100 km more than stated in the model specification. The company's press service announced this in its Telegram channel on June 28.

The testers started from the Atom Engineering center in Moscow with the task of getting to Tula and returning back without recharging. To save energy, the specialists turned off the driver assistance system and chose a smooth driving style: without sudden acceleration and braking at an average speed of 60 km/h.

The Atom electric car is equipped with an electric motor that develops 204 hp (295 Nm). The claimed power reserve for the WLTP cycle is 500 km. Rear-wheel drive. The battery capacity is 77 kWh. Among the features of the model are a display on the steering wheel and a body structure without a central pillar. The length of the car is 3995 mm, the wheelbase is 2635 mm.

The first batch of Atom electric cars was delivered to pre-ordered customers on July 17. The copies included in the first wave of issuance will be delivered to the owners between July 16 and October 15.
