The FSB detained a resident of Yasinovataya for publicly calling for extremism

The Office of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has stopped the illegal activities of a resident of Yasinovataya, who repeatedly posted comments on the Telegram messenger calling for violent actions against a group of people based on nationality. This was reported on July 28 in the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the DPR.

It is noted that a criminal case has been opened against the man under Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for extremist activities"). The FSB regional directorate noted that the enemy is actively using messenger channels and chats to provoke ethnic conflicts and incite hostility among Russian citizens.

The department warned that published comments on social networks may contain signs of criminal and administrative offenses and entail liability up to fines.
