Military groups of troops "Vostok" told about the liberation of Kommunarovka

On July 28, assault units of the 36th separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces shared details of the liberation of the village of Kommunarovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), during which an enemy defense area of more than 3 square kilometers was taken under control.

"We were walking through a swamp, and we saw that the line was stretched <...> and we walked carefully. We had a sapper ahead of us. <...> Occupied the first house. And they took up defense, they also informed our commanders," said a scout with the call sign Biket.

It is noted that before the start of the assault operation, soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces conducted reconnaissance and identified enemy firing positions, as well as mined approaches and locations of personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The enemy set up shelters in residential buildings, used basements and hidden passages between buildings, and covered the approaches to the positions with mine-explosive barriers.

"Our forces have begun to move forward, <...> they have accumulated there and have already begun to clean up. And when they crawled through the swamp, everything was mined <...> Everything was carefully neutralized, they also crawled through, but some did not neutralize them, they pointed out that they really were there so that our people could see what was mined and be vigilant," Biket added.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to a large number of manpower, eight armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, six ground-based robotic complexes and 25 heavy hexacopters.

The liberation of Kommunarovka allowed the units of the Vostok group of forces to expand the control zone north of Ternovaty and disrupt the stability of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area. The occupied border creates conditions for the further advance of Russian troops in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions.

On July 27, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian Army had liberated the village of Kommunarovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region and Torskoye in the DPR. It is noted that Russian fighters defeated the manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area. The enemy lost up to 380 soldiers, three combat vehicles and an artillery piece in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
