Soldiers of the 110th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces shared the details of the liberation of the village of Belitskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on July 28 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Before the assault, Russian units conducted a thorough reconnaissance using drones. Minefields, drone ambushes and booby traps were identified in the path of the assault groups - all of them were destroyed using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). At the same time, the logistics of the enemy was disrupted: the calculations of the troops of the group's unmanned systems quickly identified and destroyed heavy hexacopters and ground-based robotic complexes, with the help of which the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) delivered ammunition and food to the front lines.

"At first, we conducted reconnaissance to determine which route our infantry would take. Then, if explosive substances were detected, it means that they clung to the drop and flew to hit. There were a lot of mines, both anti—tank and anti-personnel," said Andrei Koshelev, an operator of a reconnaissance UAV.

Assault groups accumulated on the outskirts of the village, then entered the urban area in small groups — twos and threes. The military cleared buildings using standard grenades and mines, and artillery and units of unmanned systems were called in to destroy fortified points. Despite fierce resistance, the Russian military moved forward methodically.

"The approach to Belitsky itself is complicated. There are a lot of "postcards", a lot of fields, rare plantings. But everything is doable," said the commander of the UAV platoon of the 110th separate motorized rifle brigade with the call sign Kapa.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the military personnel of the 51st combined Arms army of the Center group, the settlement of Belitskoye was completely liberated. This created the conditions for further progress in the Dobropolsky direction.

Denis Shapovalov, a rifleman of the 5th Guards Brigade of the 51st Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces, reported on July 27 that soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces who liberated the Belitsky DPR met a group of Ukrainian Armed Forces mercenaries from Poland there. He added that his unit was tasked with storming a building occupied by mercenaries. It was during this operation that, according to Shapovalov's memoirs, they learned the nationality of the enemy.
