50 houses will be demolished in Murmansk by the end of the year
In Murmansk, 50 houses are planned to be demolished by the end of the current 2026. This information was announced by the head of the regional capital Ivan Lebedev.
According to the mayor, by the end of the summer, specialists should dismantle six buildings on Lobova, Bondarnaya, Zhukovsky and Embankment streets.
After the demolition, a lawn will be planted on the territories so that they acquire a well-groomed appearance. The Mayor's office is also discussing the long-term use of each site.
According to Bi-port news agency, five houses have been dismantled in the past two weeks. Two of them are on Rusanova Lane, one on Pavlova and one on Zelenaya Street. The wooden house No. 52 on Polyarnye Zori Street was also demolished.
Earlier it was reported that the repair of the central swimming pool will begin in Murmansk in September 2026. The swimmers' training sessions were moved to Kola and Severomorsk.
