Alikhanov spoke about the protection of Russian enterprises from drones with laser systems

Domestic enterprises began to defend themselves against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with Russian laser systems. This was announced on July 27 by Anton Alikhanov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

"We already have a whole line of laser systems that fight UAVs. <...> These are hundreds of millions of rubles saved on unpunished anti—aircraft missiles," he said in an interview with kp.ru .

To illustrate the effectiveness of such a development, Alikhanov turned to the results of its work shown at one of the country's enterprises. So, in a month, the laser system was able to successfully intercept almost 60 drones there.

Now, according to the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, it is important to further develop such systems. Such a process, he stressed, should be carried out simultaneously with work on interceptor UAVs and the level of radar awareness.

On July 6, an official representative of NPO Alfa said that a new Ear speaker system had been used to detect drones. As explained, with its compact size and light weight, it can withstand even such APU drones as the Fierce. The complex is already operating in the Belgorod region and the Donetsk People's Republic as an extensive network of acoustic stations, data from which is output to a single information system.
