"Librarians: The Next Chapter" returns with a New Season on viju

On August 4, the second season of The Librarians: The Next Chapter series starts exclusively on viju movie streaming along with the world premiere.

Dean Devlin is once again behind the continuation of the story, who gave the world "Independence Day" and "Stargate". Noah Wiley, familiar to fans of the franchise from his role as Flynn Carsen in the first films and The Librarians series (2014-2018), joined the project team as a producer. And they did it again — mysticism, dynamic plot and light humor are mixed in perfect proportion.

In the first season of "The Next Chapter," Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan), the keeper of ancient relics, accidentally moved to our days from 1847. Once in the 21st century, he inadvertently releases ancient enchantments that have spread across the continent. A team of associates is helping Vikram to fix the error and return the artifacts to the Library.

In the new series, Vikram is once again joined by charismatic historian and expert on ancient technologies Connor Green (Bluey Robinson), charming and dexterous Guardian Charlie Cornwall (Jessica Green), as well as mathematical scientist Lisa Pascal (Olivia Morris), who is trying to find a rational explanation for all the mysterious events around her. The Magnificent Four will once again travel through time, search for cursed relics and confront forces seeking to change the course of history. Moreover, in the second season, the creators promise them much more strength tests — there will definitely be no shortage of fantastic missions and unpredictable characters.

The "peppercorn" of the twisted plots will be added by the guest actors. Among them is Dominic Monaghan ("Lost," "The Lord of the Rings") in the role of the legendary magician Merlin. It will challenge the very foundations of the Library. The episodes will also feature Jeremy Swift ("Ted Lasso", "Downton Abbey"), Stefan Kapicic ("Deadpool"), Oliver Dench ("Portofino Hotel", "Pandora"), Ty Tennant ("House of the Dragon", "War of the Worlds") and many others.

An important event will be the return of the cast of the original series, which will make the sequel's connection with the Librarians universe much more tangible. The project will feature Lindy Booth as a gifted scientist with the rare gift of "seeing" numbers and formulas by Cassandra Killian. She will be accompanied by Christian Kane in the role of Jacob Stone. He will continue to make sure that Vikram's young team doesn't get too carried away on the corners.
