According to the results of the first half of 2026, 165 thousand Chinese brand cars have already been sold on the secondary market, which is 44% more than last year. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on July 27, citing data from Appruvo.

According to forecasts, by the end of the year the market volume of such used cars will exceed 400 thousand units. The most popular brand from China in the Russian secondary car market is Chery, which holds a 20.2% share.

Geely (17.5%) and Haval (14.7%) also entered the top three, together they occupy more than half of the market. Changan and Lifan are also among the top five. The Chery Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 4 are the leaders in the model ranking in terms of resale volume, followed by Haval Jolion and two Geely models — Coolray and Monjaro.

According to Kirill Larin, director of Appruvo, prices for modern Chinese cars on the "secondary market" are still high. When a Chinese crossover at the age of four or five years can be purchased for 1-1.2 million rubles, the queue of applicants should grow significantly, he said.

Earlier, on July 24, it was reported that among Russians who plan to buy a car in 2026, almost one in three is considering moving a car from abroad (31%). 38% are going to buy a used car on the Russian market. 19% replied that they were considering buying a new car from an authorized dealer, while 12% were interested in new cars imported under alternative import schemes.
