Sobyanin assessed the growth of Moscow's industry

The Moscow industry continues to show steady growth — in six months, production increased by 12.1% compared to the same period in 2025. Such assessments were given by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

Manufacturing industries, which make "a significant contribution to the technological sovereignty and sustainability of key sectors of the economy," showed even more confident dynamics — plus 12.5%, he noted in his channel in Maks. According to Sobyanin, the production of cable products increased by almost 3.3 times; computer, electronic and optical products — by 39.1%; pharmaceutical substances — by 29.4%.

In Moscow, the emphasis has recently been on high-tech production. This approach, according to the mayor, allows the capital's industry to "strengthen its leading position and steadily increase output."

The products of the capital's enterprises are in demand throughout the country, and in the regions these goods "help develop key infrastructure and social projects," Sobyanin said. In general, "more and more high-quality goods, food, medicines, electronics and equipment are appearing in Russia," the mayor added.

Earlier in July, Sobyanin announced that Moscow had taken first place in the national rating of the effectiveness of industrial policy implementation. The results were presented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia at the international industrial exhibition Innoprom in Yekaterinburg.

Efficiency was assessed according to 47 criteria grouped into six blocks: economic development, implementation of industrial support measures, development of industrial infrastructure, human resources, product promotion and interaction with enterprises.

According to Sobyanin, more than 4,600 enterprises representing more than 20 manufacturing industries operate in Moscow. By the end of 2025, industrial production increased by 4.7%, and investments in the sector reached 480.3 billion rubles.
