Poddubny compared the Kiev regime to a rabid dog
The Ukrainian authorities, having proved unable to achieve success on the line of contact, behave like a rabid dog and purposefully strike at civilians and civilian infrastructure. This was stated by Evgeny Poddubny, a member of the General Council of United Russia, a journalist, Hero of Russia, in an interview with journalists on the Day of Remembrance of the Children Victims of the War in Donbass on July 27.
"The Nazi regime, which seized power in Kiev, is attacking civilians like a rabid dog. Drones made in the West and Western—made missiles are flying at peaceful homes, tourist bases, buses carrying children, colleges and dormitories," TASS quoted him as saying.
According to Poddubny, the actions of the Ukrainian formations are aimed solely at causing maximum damage to the defenseless civilian population.
The journalist recalled the tragic events of 2014, when the massive shelling of Horlivka from Grad multiple rocket launchers claimed the lives of dozens of people, including four children, and added that over the years of conflict in the Donetsk People's Republic alone, more than 250 minors were killed, and about 1,000 more were injured.
Poddubny stressed that this memorable date is a harsh reminder of the critical importance of fully achieving all the goals of the special military operation set by Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to stop the deaths of children and the inevitable punishment of those responsible for war crimes.
An art event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Dead Children of Donbass was held in Donetsk that night. The central part of the event was the story of 12-year-old Katya, who dreamed of becoming a famous ballerina and could in the future perform on the stage of the Donetsk Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A.B. Solovyanenko. In 2022, the girl and her grandmother were on their way to ballet school, but they died as a result of Ukrainian shelling.
