Putin: Russian military personnel write the history of the country

Russian military personnel write the history of the country. This was announced on July 26 by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the Day of the Navy during a conversation with military sailors in St. Petersburg.

"You know, the river of time is endless. And each epoch gives birth to its own heroes. And people like you, and those who are no longer with us, unfortunately. But they're writing history. Here you are and our comrades—in-arms, who gave their lives for Russia, for the Motherland, and here you are all writing history," Putin said.

Putin stressed that the country should know its history, and for this, the Ministry of Culture allocates funds to support cinematographers working in this field. The President also noted that history textbooks already include sections on special military operations.

On July 26, Putin addressed Russian military personnel on the occasion of Navy Day. He noted that today the country honors its valiant Navy and all those who, in different years and epochs, created its glory, as well as provided Russia with the status of a great maritime power with brilliant scientific achievements.
