- The Investigative Committee opened a case of a terrorist attack after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked recreation centers in Zaporizhia.
The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case into a terrorist attack carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on civilian infrastructure facilities in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on July 25 by the press service of the department.
"Armed formations of Ukraine using UAVs attacked recreation centers located in Kirillovka. As a result of the criminal actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, civilians, including children, were killed and injured," the Telegram channel said.
The case was initiated under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). The exact number of victims and injured is currently being clarified. In addition, damage to civilian infrastructure was recorded.
A complex of investigative actions has been organized at the scene of the incident to collect and record evidence. Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. The Investigative Committee of Russia will give a criminal legal assessment of the actions of the Ukrainian servicemen involved in the commission of the crime.
The Governor of the Zaporizhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, announced on July 25 that eight people, including two children, were killed as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on tourist bases in the region. A terrorist attack was carried out last night on the urban-type settlement of Kirillovka, Melitopol city district.
