Modular martial arts hall to be built in Pskov region

Construction of a modular martial arts hall has begun in Ostrov, Pskov region. Its area will be 1.1 thousand square meters. m.

According to Dmitry Bystrov, the head of the Ostrovsky Municipal District, quoted by the Pskov News Feed, preparatory work is currently underway on the site for the construction of the building's power foundation plate. Modular structures will be assembled in September.

The building will be equipped with a martial arts hall, administrative offices, locker rooms with showers, a medical office, a coaching room and a cloakroom.

The sports facility is being built as part of the federal "I Choose Sport" Business Sprint project. About 110 million rubles were allocated from the budget for these purposes. The costs for the purchase and installation of the hall will come from the federal and regional treasury, and work on landscaping and laying utilities will be paid from the regional and local budgets.

The facility is scheduled to be commissioned in December 2026.

Earlier it was reported that a universal modular hall will be built in Pskov at the Mashinostroitel stadium. The construction is scheduled to be completed in 2027. The preliminary cost of the facility is 135 million rubles. The hall will be equipped at the expense of federal funds. The foundation will be prepared at the expense of the regional and local budgets. The universal modular hall will host classes in game sports, including mini-football, volleyball and handball. This meets the requirements of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.
