Sobyanin spoke about the reconstruction of schools in Donetsk and Lugansk

Moscow specialists are doing a lot of work on the reconstruction of school buildings in the twin cities of Lugansk and Donetsk. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, told about this on his Maks channel.

In particular, Lyceum No. 5 and six kindergartens with landscaping were reconstructed in Donetsk. In Luhansk, school No. 51 and gymnasium No. 60 named after the 200th anniversary of the city of Lugansk have been fully restored after the shelling, Sobyanin said.

He also spoke about the progress of the program for the reconstruction of Moscow schools. "In fact, we are creating new buildings in which it is a pleasure to study, communicate, engage in creativity, and play sports," the mayor wrote.

So, on September 1, after the reconstruction, the building of school No. 236 named after Hero of the Soviet Union G.I. Shchedrin on Klyazminskaya Street will open. During the work, specialists updated the main structures, engineering communications and the interior, as well as landscaped the territory near the school.

Thanks to the high-tech infrastructure, students will be able to study engineering subjects more deeply: mathematics, physics, computer science, Sobyanin emphasized. In particular, they will be able to engage in research activities on 3D modeling, robotics, programming, and prototyping based on specialized classrooms.

"There are plans to hold laboratory workshops, career guidance meetings and joint intensive courses with leading partner universities," said the Mayor of Moscow. According to him, this will make it possible to integrate school education with higher education in the engineering and technical field.

Earlier, Sobyanin said that more than 120 educational facilities are being built in Moscow at the same time. More than 56,000 students and almost 20,000 preschoolers will go to new kindergartens, schools and educational complexes.
