The American Boeing E-3 Sentry long-range radar detection and control aircraft has given an emergency signal while flying over Saudi Arabia. This was reported on July 23 by RIA Novosti with reference to flight data.

So, according to them, the plane, whose path is not described, transmitted the code 7700. The corresponding message in aviation indicates the occurrence of some kind of emergency situation recorded on board. The reasons why an aircraft may send such a combination include fire, depressurization, fuel shortage, or other similar problems.

At the moment, no other details have been provided about the Boeing E-3 Sentry and its future fate.

On July 12, the Iraqi media conglomerate Sabereen News also reported on a distress signal sent by an American F-35 fighter jet over the United Arab Emirates. It turned out that the plane managed to land at the Al-Dhafra airbase, but it was not reported what caused the incident.
