Blogger Lercek's ex-stylist was refused transfer to house arrest

The ex-stylist of blogger Lerchek (real name — Valeria Chekalina), Elvira Yankovskaya, was refused transfer to house arrest in a fraud case. This was announced on July 22 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow.

Yankovskaya will remain in custody until November 19. At the end of April, despite the victims' requests not to leave the mother of two children in jail, the court issued a similar decision, refusing to change the preventive measure.

Yankovskaya called herself a professional stylist and offered clients to purchase branded products at discounted prices. The examinations initiated by the buyers confirmed that the designer items turned out to be counterfeit products of poor quality. The scheme has been in effect for a year and a half. During the investigation, it turned out that Yankovskaya bought goods at the Sadovod market, as well as at the Lyublino and Dubrovka shopping centers.

A criminal case was opened against the stylist, and she was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave. In October last year, the Gagarin District Court of Moscow sent Yankovskaya to jail, later the preventive measure was tightened due to systematic violations - it was clarified that the stylist missed one of the meetings and illegally left Russia.

On June 15, the ex-stylist exposed herself as a victim of deception after one of her clients suspected her of selling 500,000 rubles worth of fakes. In May, the victim in the case of the ex-stylist did not request severe punishment against Yankovskaya because she had children.

In early April, it was reported that the stylist sold Lercek a fake Hermes bag worth about 780 thousand rubles. After checking, it turned out that the designer items turned out to be counterfeit products of poor quality. Back in 2023, Chekalina accused Yankovskaya of selling fakes of branded items under the guise of the original. The blogger noted that her friends also bought fakes from the stylist.
