Zelensky officially removed Syrsky from the post of commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and appointed Drapaty

On July 22, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially dismissed Alexander Syrsky from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and appointed Mikhail Drapaty to this post.

Earlier in the day, Drapaty commented on his new post with the slogan of Ukrainian nationalists. The military man thanked the President of the country for the trust shown to him, and also expressed gratitude to his predecessor Syrsky for his work on "strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine." He added that he himself "grew up in the Ukrainian army," also thanking the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for supporting his candidacy.
