Sobyanin thanked the defenders of Moscow's sky

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin thanked the military pilots, air defense fighters and employees of defense enterprises for protecting the capital's skies. He posted the statement on July 22 on his personal blog in the Maks messenger on Moscow Sky Defenders Day.

The mayor noted that the memorable date has regained its relevance these days. According to him, for more than four years, the Kiev regime has been testing the defenders of the capital's skies, and the Moscow region has remained the enemy's main target all this time. "After all, we are the country's largest industrial center and transport hub. And, more importantly, we are the capital and the heart of Russia," he stressed.

Sobyanin added that losses are inevitable in the fight against a strong and insidious enemy, but the enemy "could not and will not be able to impose its own rules of the game." "And for this, today I say thank you to everyone who stands day and night, on weekdays and holidays, to protect our sky," wrote the mayor of the capital.

The mayor thanked the employees of the enterprises and design bureaus who increased the production of traditional air defense systems and as soon as possible set up the production of innovative products to repel new threats. He also expressed gratitude to the builders and employees of city services who are erecting protective structures, towers and positions of air defense troops in Moscow and other regions of the country.

Separately, the mayor noted programmers who solve the problem of automated detection and suppression of enemy drones. He thanked the soldiers of the Rosgvardiya, the LEOPARD detachments and the departmental security, who took upon themselves the protection of critically important objects of the economy and the livelihoods of the population.

"And, of course, many thanks to the military pilots and air defense fighters, who bear the brunt of countering enemy attacks," the mayor concluded.
