The altitude of flights carried out by civil aviation aircraft near Moscow has been lowered to the 160 (4,900 m) level for safety reasons. This was reported on July 22 by the newspaper Kommersant with reference to the Federal Air Transport Agency.

It is noted that the organization confirmed to the publication the release of the corresponding NOTAM (notification of airspace users) for the Moscow hub control area, which includes Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo and Domodedovo. The decree has already been posted on the basis of the Aeronautical Information Center and is valid until August 26 of this year.

The measures taken by Rosaviatsia, as specified, apply to those flights that will be classified as experimental. They must also be observed by pilots of state aviation.

On June 17, the Federal Air Transport Agency also temporarily restricted flights of light and ultralight aircraft at an altitude of up to 5.2 km. The measures applied to all sides from the designated category, which were located in the regions of Central Russia. On the same day, the organization clarified that they were monitoring the situation.
