WSJ learned about the US plans to produce Magura boats for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The United States wants to launch the production of Magura unmanned boats used by the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on July 22.

"The BEC, known as Magura, will be manufactured by ReconCraft, a Portland—based company that manufactures vessels for special operations forces," the article says.

It is emphasized that the implementation of such an initiative will be a "large-scale step" by Washington and Kiev towards some kind of arms exchange operations. As explained in the publication, the Pentagon is particularly interested in the idea, as it now faces the task of expanding its arsenal of autonomous weapons.

As part of the FAMM program, the US Department of Defense is going to purchase 28 thousand "budget" ammunition.

The day before, it became known about the Pentagon's plans to purchase 40 radio intelligence systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which make it possible to detect unmanned aerial vehicles. It was clarified that a search is underway for potential suppliers of such equipment, which in turn can operate in the range from 20 megahertz to 8.5 gigahertz. Kiev, according to the plan, will even receive a license for the relevant product under the agreement.
