Construction of an overpass across the Trans-Siberian Railway starts in Ulan-Ude

A key stage of the construction of an automobile overpass through the Trans-Siberian Railway to the Glass Factory microdistrict will start in Ulan-Ude on July 28. This was announced by the mayor Igor Shutenkov in his social networks.

The length of the overpass will be about 500 meters, the width will be almost 18 meters, writes IA UlanMedia. The roadway will have three lanes.

The first stone of the new overpass was laid on the day of the 360th anniversary of the city. It is expected that the construction will relieve the Elevator intersection and improve the traffic situation on Borsoeva Street.

Access roads will be built from Borsoev and Voronezhskaya Streets for the convenience of citizens, and a traffic light will be installed at the intersection with Radartseva Street. Sidewalks will be laid for pedestrians, fences will be installed for motorists and dividing lanes will be drawn.

A small section of Voronezhskaya will be closed for the duration of the work. Traffic will remain the same at the intersection with Kundo Street.

Residents of the republican capital are asked to plan their route in advance, be attentive at the site where construction is underway and follow the instructions of road signs.

Earlier it was reported that tram tracks on Klyuchevskaya Street will be overhauled in Ulan-Ude. As part of the project, 1,650 m of single track will have to be renovated.
