The film "Red Silk" will be presented at the film festival in South Africa

Art Pictures Distribution Company will present the retro detective story "Red Silk" as part of the Days of Russian Cinema, which will be held on July 24 and 25 at the 47th International Film Festival in Durban (South Africa). This was announced by the distributor's press service on July 21.

The screenings at the festival are organized by ROSKINO with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The event will be part of the program of one of the largest and oldest film festivals on the African continent, which has been bringing together representatives of the international film industry and audiences since 1979.

Art Pictures Distribution (part of the National Media Group holding) will present the film "Red Silk" at the festival, which is included in the official program of the Durban International Film Festival. The film has become one of the most notable co-production film projects in recent years and has received the status of a national film in Russia and China. The film combines elements of adventure cinema, historical drama and large-scale action.

"The screening of the film Red Silk at the Durban International Film Festival in Durban is an important step in promoting modern Russian cinema on the African continent. Having received the status of a national film in both Russia and China, the picture has already proved its ability to unite different cultures and audiences. In 2026, the film has already been presented at the International Chinese Film Festival in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok, the ROSKINO festivals in Kazakhstan, Singapore, Morocco, Mauritius, as well as at the Filmart film markets in Hong Kong and SIFF in Shanghai. In addition, the film was shown at the Russian House in Tanzania, as well as in the framework of Rossotrudnichestvo projects in Bangladesh and Bulgaria.
