Tagesschau reported the death of a suspect in the murder of six people in Stade

The man suspected of shooting six people in the German city of Stade on June 29 was found dead in the Bremerferde detention center. This was reported on July 21 by the German Tagesschau portal.

"The alleged perpetrator in the Stade case is dead, according to the Ministry of Justice of Lower Saxony. He was in custody at the Bremerferde prison," the article says.

No signs of violent death of the 45-year-old man were found. Investigators assume that he hanged himself.

The shooting in the Stadium took place on June 29 on Dankersstrasse in the city center. The police arrived at the scene, and a large-scale special operation was carried out. Later, the Russian Embassy in Berlin added that there were no Russian citizens among the victims or injured in the shooting. The Luneburg Police Department reported that the death toll from the shooting had risen to six.
