- Russians' interest in hybrid used cars has grown by a third since the beginning of the year
Russians' interest in used cars equipped with a hybrid power plant increased by more than 30% in June compared to January and by 60% compared to June last year. <url> experts told Izvestia about this on July 22.
"Although hybrid cars account for a small share of the Russian secondary market — over the past year, from June to June, it increased from 1.6% to 2% — there is a high dynamics of changes within the segment, which has intensified over the past month. It was most pronounced among cars aged three to seven years, which account for almost a third of the total supply at the moment," the experts noted.
Compared to June 2025, the share of Chinese brands in the segment increased from 6% to 31%, and their entry into the market led to a reduction in the average age from 6 to 5 years and a decrease in the average mileage from 83 thousand to 68 thousand km. At the same time, the average cost jumped from 3.32 million to 5.05 million rubles, which is due to both a change in the supply structure and a general increase in prices in the secondary market, experts said.
As for user interest, premium Chinese models are leading among hybrid cars aged 3 to 7 years in the first half of the year: Voyah Free (an average of 4.07 million rubles), Lixiang L7 (5.78 million rubles), Lixiang L9 (6.41 million rubles), Voyah Dream (5.44 million rubles) and Aito M5 (3.72 million rubles). The segment priced up to 3 million rubles is dominated by Japanese models such as the Toyota Prius (2.15 million rubles), Nissan Note (1.37 million rubles), Toyota Corolla (2 million rubles) and Toyota Camry (2.68 million rubles).
Earlier, on July 20, Autostat reported that over the past three weeks, sales of new electric vehicles and hybrids in Russia have almost doubled — by 83%.
