Grushko pointed out the need to take into account the research of Germany in the field of nuclear weapons development

The research conducted by Germany in the field of nuclear weapons (NW) development is not surprising and should be taken into account by Russia in military planning. This was announced on July 21 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.

"What Germany is doing is absolutely not surprising, especially considering the high technological and industrial potential of this country. Of course, this is a reality that must also be taken into account in our military planning," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Grushko noted that such steps demonstrate the general trend observed in the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance. Thus, he clarified that Moscow has recently witnessed major changes in the legislation of a number of countries.

The innovations, as explained by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, will allow the initiators not only to host nuclear facilities, including from the United States, but also to develop entire concepts "like the French European nuclear umbrella."

Later, on July 21, Bogdan Bezpalko, a member of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of Russia, a political scientist, said that Germany, if desired, could easily bring the process to an end. Drawing attention to the "political plane" of this country, he called the potential possession of nuclear weapons a great evil. Against this background, the expert called on European states to oppose such an initiative by the German side.
