The State Duma approved credit holidays for participants who live in the border region

Deputies of the State Duma (State Duma) approved at the plenary session a draft law on extending all guarantees due to participants in a special military operation to those citizens who were involved in a counter-terrorism operation (CTO) in border areas. This was confirmed on July 21 by data on the website of the lower house of parliament.

According to the initiative, all the benefits of CBO fighters, which are equivalent, have now become available to CTO participants from the Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions. It is emphasized that, among other things, we are talking about the right to a loan deferral. It is specified that if a participant WHO dies in the performance of his official duties, debts will be automatically written off from him.

Also, the authors of the bill, in an explanatory note to it, suggested taking into account the experience of such citizens as individual achievement when they enroll in secondary and higher educational institutions. At the same time, special admission rights will apply to their children, in case they want to get a bachelor's degree or enroll in a specialty program. Among other things, CTO participants will have the right to become members of special housing and construction cooperatives.

Deputy of the State Duma, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Taxes from the LDPR faction, Kaplan Panes, in an interview with Izvestia, pointed out that this bill eliminated the injustice that arose due to a legal conflict.

"Until now, there was a legal conflict: formally, they were not participants in a special military operation, which means they did not have access to the same social guarantees, credit holidays, early enrollment of children in kindergartens and schools, as well as to a simplified procedure for recognizing them as missing or deceased for the families of the victims. The bill eliminates this injustice," he said.

Panes noted that the residents of the border region risked their lives not in their own area, but directly "on their native land." He drew attention to the fact that the relevant decision was not just a "bureaucratic gesture", but the well-deserved support of fellow citizens from the state. The LDPR, as the deputy emphasized, consistently strives to ensure that all defenders of the Fatherland receive the same rights, regardless of where they perform combat missions.
