The new Tenet A8 sedan began production in St. Petersburg

Full-cycle production of the Tenet A8 sedan has started at the AGR holding plant in Shushary, St. Petersburg. This is stated in the message of the press service of the AGR holding, which was received by Izvestia on July 21.

Now, models of three brands created by the Russian holding company and the Chinese company Defetoo - Jeland, Esteo and Tenet — are being produced at the site in St. Petersburg.

The price of the Tenet A8 has not yet been disclosed. The dimensions of the car are 4757 mm in length, 1832 mm in width and 1469 mm in height, the wheelbase is 2770 mm. The model is based on the Chinese Chery Arrizo 8 sedan.

The engine range includes two gasoline turbocharged engines. The flagship 2.0-liter powertrain develops 197 hp and 375 Nm and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 9 seconds. There is also a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 150 hp and a torque of 275 Nm, combined with a 7-speed robotic transmission. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 9.9 seconds.

The list of equipment includes a 15.6-inch multimedia system display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, heated front seats, ventilation, electrical controls and memory function, as well as a panoramic roof, multicolor contour lighting and a Sony speaker system. Separate air conditioning deflectors, USB connectors and a central armrest are provided for second-row passengers.
